Major Mint Errors on Drape Bust Quarters are unheard of. I can't recall ever seeing one. This Draped Bust Quarter, which was double struck in the collar and rotated, is the only one known for the Draped Bust series and is considered unique. It is almost uncirculated, has considerable luster and has a light golden toning evenly distributed on both sides. The second strike was rotated in the collar and obliterates much of the design from the original strike. There is still detail visible on both sides from the original strike.

The Draped Bust Quarter was an extemely short lived type coin, and this Double Struck Mint Error is a true rarity for the series.
