Greetings all EW members,
I am very close to completion of The Cherrypickers'
Guide, Fourth Edition, Volume Two. I have a lot of information posted,
and discounts for pre-publication orders listed on the web site at www.cherrypickersguide.com.
Many of you know that I've had more than my share
of health problems during the past few years, which is the primary reason
for the long delay. But my physical health is fairly good now, and
all who know me understand that my mental health has always been in question.
After all, I am an error/variety knut!
The information provided on the web site is fairly
complete. However, if anyone has any questions about hard bound copies
of Volume One (there will be some extras available), Cherrypickers' News,
or any other subject concerning The Cherrypickers' Guide, please send an
e-mail to jtstanton@aol.com. I will make sure you get a personal
and candid reply as promptly as possible.
In addition, I would also appreciate knowing of
any mistakes in Volume One. I just yesterday learned of a dramatic
error which to the best of my knowledge no one else has reported.
That mistake is simply this. The coin listed as FS # 5c-003.55 (Shield
nickel) is actually an Indian cent! This book was proofed by about
18 people, including some of the best known specialists in the Shield nickel
series and the Indian cent series.
Volume Two will also include a few new listings
in the Volume One range, plus will include as many corrections for that
range as possible. That is the purpose for the request for corrections.
Thanks to all of you for your support. Again,
please contact me directly if you have any specific questions. I
will get back to you as soon as possible.
Best wishes all!
