| At the bottom of your
desktop resides what is usually called the 'Taskbar.' On it, you'll see
the Start button and any currently running programs, as well as some other
features that are very useful. Let's discuss the Taskbar and how you can
make your work/play a little easier using the power of this tool bar.
If you have several programs running at
the same time, the Taskbar can get a bit crowded. You can expand the Taskbar
and give it more room to hold information. To do this, go down to the very
top
However, if you're like most Windows users, you want your desktop and/or programs to have access to as much of the screen as possible. The Taskbar at the bottom of the screen, however useful, takes up extra room -- especially if you have expanded it as described above. Fortunately, you can actually "hide" the
Taskbar. Doing so will allow the functions of the Taskbar to remain active,
but the Taskbar itself will be hidden from your screen until you need it.
To hide your taskbar, go to the bottom of the screen and find a 'blank'
space on the Taskbar. Now, right-click on the Taskbar and a small menu
will appear. Click Properties and a box will appear with several
