Independent Coin Grading Company
ICG guarantees that all coins and casino chips submitted to
its grading service will be handled with the highest standards of professionalism
and integrity. Any Customer may resubmit any coin or chip for review of
the grade assigned by ICG if such Customer believes that such coin or chip
has been overgraded by ICG. If the coin or chip submitted for review by
the Customer receives a lower grade under ICG’s internal review practices
than the grade originally assigned, ICG shall, at ICG’s option, either
(a) replace the coin, or (b) pay any difference between the current fair
market value of such coin or chip at the newly established grade and the
current market value of the grade originally assigned to such coin or chip.
The fair market value shall be determined solely by ICG. From time to time,
ICG will receive certain Pedigree Coins, Important Rarities, large quantities
of coins, bulk submissions, or coins or chips where the identity of the
owner has been well publicized or well known throughout the numismatic
community. Although ICG may be able to assume the identity of such owners,
ICG reserves the right to grade such coins or chips under ICG’s standard
practices. This ICG Guarantee shall not apply to: (a) any clerical error
with respect to the description or grade of the coin or chip which would
be reasonably noticed upon inspection; (b) any copper coins or chips submitted
due to their particular susceptibility to oxidation unless they are encapsulated
with ICG’s Intercept Shield Protection system for less than 20 years; (c)
any coins or chips subjected to improper storage conditions (such as extreme
temperature or extreme conditions etc.) and (d) any coins or chips not
encapsulated by ICG.
ICG cannot guarantee the liquidity of any coin or chip graded by ICG.
ICG certification of a particular coin or chip cannot provide protection
from the risks inherent in any market for such coins or chips, if such
a market exists.
The ICG Guarantee shall not apply to copper coins or chips unless they
are encapsulated in ICG's Intercept Shield Protection system for less than
20 years.
Numismatic Guarantee Corporation
The grading of coins is subjective and solely reflects the
opinions of the NGC graders. NGC guarantees that all coins submitted to
it through any tier shall be examined by a minimum of three NGC grading
experts in accordance with NGC grading procedures. In the event that any
owner or subsequent purchaser of an NGC coin believes that a coin has been
over-graded by NGC with respect to such procedures, such person may submit
the coin to NGC through its "Appearance Review" service for a review of
the assigned grade. If the grade determined under such review in NGC’s
sole opinion is ultimately lower than that originally assigned to the coin,
NGC shall, at NGC’s option, either exchange the coin in question with an
equivalent coin at the earlier higher grade or pay the difference between
the current fair market value of the coin at the newly established grade
and the current fair market value of the grade originally assigned to such
coin. Due to the volatile nature of the coin market and Internet auctions/sales,
the selling prices in these auctions/sales do not necessarily represent
the current fair market value of any particular coin. NGC will determine
the current fair market value of a coin based upon what NGC believes, in
its sole opinion, to be reliable current market information. NGC’s subjective
determination of fair market value shall be binding on all parties. Removal
of a coin from its NGC holder, or tampering with the holder, nullifies
this Guarantee. If requested, NGC will remedy any clerical error with respect
to the description or grade of a coin on its label, free of charge.
WARNING: THIS GUARANTEE IS LIMITED.
Oxidation can continue to occur after sealing, and copper coins are
particularly susceptible to this problem. Therefore, the NGC Guarantee
does not apply to the grading of copper coins.
Pattern coins and coins graded under the VarietyPlus and Mint Error
services are guaranteed for grade and authenticity only.
The NGC Guarantee does not cover coins which have been graded by NGC
but then are subjected to abuse, alteration, or improper storage conditions
such as (but not limited to) extreme temperature, moisture, damaging environmental
conditions, excessive light, excessive motion or vibration, or any other
extreme conditions.
The NGC Guarantee does not apply to coins that have been removed at
any time from their original NGC holder, or to coins with tampered holders.
The NGC Guarantee does not apply to clerical errors on the label.
THE NGC GUARANTEE TAKES THE PLACE OF AND SUPERCEDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED AND WHETHER OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS OR OTHERWISE.
THE REMEDIES PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT ARE EXCLUSIVE. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY
STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT, ALL OTHER REMEDIES AGAINST NGC, INCLUDING, BUT
NOT LIMITED TO, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, ARE WAIVED.

Customer Bill of Rights
The Guarantee of Grade & Authenticity is fundamental to
PCGS's concept of third-party grading. The cash-back policy ensures the
accuracy of the grade assigned to any PCGS coin as long as it remains in
its tamper-evident holder. If a coin is believed to be improperly graded,
and a discrepancy is found when resubmitted through PCGS's Guarantee Resubmission
service, the guarantee entitles the coin's owner to options designed for
his protection.
Problem-Free Coins
PCGS has a policy prohibiting the encapsulation of coins with
problems such as: artificial toning, excessive cleaning, environmental
damage, PVC damage, major scratches, or planchet flaws. (Note: PCGS does
not refund grading fees on coins which must be rejected, since the coin
must be examined to determine its status.)
Sovereign Entities Grading Service Inc.
If within six (6) months after SEGS has graded a coin, the
owner of such coin believes that the coin has been over graded with respect
to such standards and procedures, the owner may submit such coin to SEGS
in its original SEGS coin capsule for re-grading (see S-4 Service).
The fee for such re-grading shall be $20, and may be refundable.
Provided that the SEGS coin capsule has not been damaged or tampered
with, and provided that there are no typographical errors in the grade
and/or other identifying information for the coin on the SEGS label, the
original grade shall be masked and a re-grade shall be determined.
If the re-grade is lower than that originally assigned by SEGS, SEGS
shall pay the owner the difference between the fair market value of the
coin at the newly established grade and the fair market value of the coin
at the original grade. Fair market value shall be determined by SEGS based
on recent actual transactions in the market place for coins of that type,
variety, error, and/or grade.
