Kill Those Cookies

~ Arnie Margolis ~

We recently got a series of moves to enhance security from our Dell tech support. There are "cookies" which are stored that can tell a snooper what you have been looking at and what contacts you have made. It isn't their business but it can be a problem.  Here's how to get rid of cookies - and we have used it!
  1. In Windows 98 (and I assume others also), go to Control Panel
  2. Click on Internet Options.
  3. In "Temporary Internet Files" click on "Settings"
  4. Click on "view Files"
  5. You will see a list of cookies.
  6. Hit Ctl/a.  This will highlight all of the cookie titles.
  7. Hit Del (Delete). All will be removed.
  8. Close out.
This will eliminate the cookies in your Internet stored files which can be viewed by others.  Do this periodically to keep the system clear.

Enjoy!

Arnie.
