We
recently got a series of moves to enhance security from our Dell tech support.
There are "cookies" which are stored that can tell a snooper what you have
been looking at and what contacts you have made. It isn't their business
but it can be a problem. Here's how to get rid of cookies - and we
have used it!
-
In Windows 98 (and I assume
others also), go to Control Panel
-
Click on Internet Options.
-
In "Temporary Internet Files"
click on "Settings"
-
Click on "view Files"
-
You will see a list of cookies.
-
Hit Ctl/a. This will highlight
all of the cookie titles.
-
Hit Del (Delete). All will be
removed.
-
Close out.
This will eliminate the cookies
in your Internet stored files which can be viewed by others. Do this
periodically to keep the system clear.
Enjoy!
Arnie.
