| Scams are the bane of internet life. Most of these scams try to get you to reveal your username and/or password for a particular group or service that you belong to. NEVER reveal your password to any account or service at any time! Valid services/groups will NEVER send you e-mail asking for your User Name and/or Password. When in doubt, contact the administrators of the service that is perporting to ask for your password. In most cases you will find that they never sent you that e-mail. Dear SBC Yahoo! Member, You may have recently received an email or emails that appear to come from "admin@sbcglobal.net," "admin@pacbell.net," "admin@swbell.net," "admin@ameritech.net," or similar address. This email is forged and contains a virus inside a file usually named "message.zip" or contains a subject line that includes the words "your account." To protect your computer, please delete the email immediately and do not open the attachment. The forged email states that your email address is expiring. This is not correct.
