Error World is pleased to pass along the following alert that was originally posted in the Error World message area by Mike Byers and updated by Pete Bishal:

WARNING: Mark Lighterman had error coins stolen from his hotel room at the Southport Hampton Inn, exit 103 off at US 65
during the evening of Wed April 4th 2001. If you come across any of the following: contact Marion County Sheriff's Dept
317-231-8200. Here is a partial list of the MAJOR Mint Errors that were stolen:

Standing Lib 25c struck on a cent planchet
Standing Lib 25c struck on a dime planchet
Walking Lib Half struck on a nickel planchet
1944 S 25c struck on a 1943 STEEL cent planchet
Flying Eagle Cent struck on a half dime planchet uniface
1899 Indian 1c struck on STRUCK Barber dime
186- Shield Nickel struck on a TWO cent planchet
ND Shield Nickel struck on a THREE CENT planchet
1970 Dime struck on a New Mexico TAX TOKEN
1905 Indian Cent struck on a dime planchet
SBA struck on a dime planchet
SBA struck on a nickel planchet
1987 Nickel struck on a CLAD QUARTER planchet

There was also a laptop, other errors, and at least 1000 (Collector) Casino Chips stolen as well.

Most of the specific errors that I have listed are UNIQUE, FAMOUS, and EASY TO IDENTIFY.
